“American Airlines is boosting its presence in Europe, announcing two seasonal destinations and additional flights to another.
The new cities joining American’s route map are Budapest and Prague. The carrier will serve both cities from its Philadelphia hub, offering daily round-trip service from May 4 through Oct. 27 on Boeing 767-300 aircraft.
The service returns American to Budapest for the first time since 2011, when it served the route from its hub at New York JFK. Prague is a new destination for American.
American also will add a second route to Venice, Italy. The non-stop from Chicago O’Hare will complement the airline’s existing summertime service between Venice and Philadelphia. American will use its new Boeing 787-8 “Dreamliners” for the Chicago-Venice route, which also will run from May 4 through Oct. 27.”
